Maritime Fall Fair

Yesterday, we went to the Fall Fair at Exhibition Park in Halifax. It was a great time and Lily had a blast with all of the animals. We got there a little later in the afternoon and had just missed the horse jumping event. We caught some of the dog show which is always very entertaining to see. It amazes me how well these dogs are trained! We spent time going through the barn areas and seeing all the different animals up close. The very best thing we did was enter the petting zoo which had been set up by Hatfield Farms. There were llamas, pigs, goats and donkeys, all of which were very friendly, that you could feed if you bought the grain. We bought about 4 little cup fulls and it was so much fun to feed them all. Lily was too timid to let them eat from her hand but would take some grain and throw at them - it was too cute. She was not afraid to pet all of the animals and on the way out, got pretty close to giving a llama a hug! It was surely a great afternoon!
