After lunch, we went to the Scarecrow Festival in Mahone Bay to see all the hard work put forth by the residents and merchants in the area. The town was packed with people and even walking along the sidewalks proved to be a challenge, especially while pushing a stroller! The store clerks were commenting on how much busier Sunday was as compared to Saturday but they were welcoming the business as this will really be the last big festival for that area for the remainder of the year. There were lots of different displays of scarecrows, our favorite being the "Pirates of the Caribbean" display. I tried to get a good picture of Lily beside it but she did not want to sit in the stroller and have her picture taken there so I let her out for a little walking around to get a shot. Our other favorite was the one almost across from the Teazer - it was a family complete with the cow. Lily really liked the cow and was willing to sit in her stroller while "petting" the cow so I could get a picture. We had a great day and stopped into Lahave Bakery for some treats to bring home. A nice fall day indeed!
