12 Month Check Up

Lily had to have her 12 month check up yesterday with Dr. MacDonald. She is in perfect health and growing very well. Along with turning a year old means more needles though :( She was supposed to get 3 needles but Dr. MacDonald splits them over 2 visits to make it a little less traumatic - part of me thinks that it might be just best to get it all over with though at the one visit - now we have to go back again for a needle whereas she could have had all the pokes and been done for awhile. Oh well, part of growing up I guess. She associates the visit now with "something bad" and cried whenever the doctor tried to do anything with her. Needless to say, she was glad to get back in the car to have a little snooze. As far as stats go, she weighs 23 pounds, 3 ounces - up from 21 pounds at 10 months and is almost 31 inches - not a whole lot longer than she was at 10 months. Her weight is around the 75th percentile with her height in the 90th percentile - maybe she will be lucky and be tall and slim - just like her Mother - ha,ha,ha! She had no ill-effects from the needles and slept well last night. Now we head off to start year 2!
