Privateer Days

Yesterday, we went to Liverpool to partake in some of the annual "Privateer Days" celebrations. To start, we made it just in time to watch the parade. Lily was not at all timid of the loud bands or firing of muskets, but rather, would turn to look at me and laugh when there was something loud going on. After the parade, we went into town and walked around a bit. It was a beautiful sunny day but luckily, there was a lovely breeze from the water. We took a quick look around the amusement area and got some cotton candy - who could resist a sugar rush such as that?? There were a number of vendors around selling their goods and Caitlin got a cute "Sylvester" airbrushed tattoo on her arm. We decided to venture on to enjoy some of the ocean since these sunny, hot days have been rare in number to date. We dined in Hunts Point and had very tasty "fish n chips" before heading to the beach at White Point. It was a great day and the fresh air certainly played us all out.
